Winter 2020: A network visualisation of the people involved in the making of Mary-Anne Rawson’s anti-slavery anthology The Bow in the Cloud.

I used R to create a static visualisation and a dynamic one to represent the metadata from the Bow in the Cloud archival collection, which includes letters, anthology submissions, and visual and printed material. As you will probably agree, the static one is probably more effective. This is a proliferation visualisation, which gives you a good sense of how many people were involved (or potentially involved) in the making of the anthology.

Summer 2019: A network graph (using the stylo package in R) that shows the stylistic similarities between Melville’s work and the philosophers he read.
